MARINE TEAM

ABOUT THE FILM

A project no sane, commercially minded production company would ever undertake. Two years of blood, sweat, tears and broken cameras. An inordinate amount of footage shot and condensed into one 87-minute film.

Marine Team focuses on the phenomenon of interaction between humans and animals, and the dedication and skill of those who care for seals, dolphins and other marine mammals. Their life is incredibly precarious - it's often a thin line between life and death, and this film reflects the lottery of survival. A powerful combination of humour, fear, joy and pain.

The magic and the beauty of the West Country coastline are augmented by visits to Scotland, Wales and the East Coast of England. We also follow our British rescue experts on trips to Portugal and the Falkland Islands. Marine Team combines beautiful scenery with natural history, dramatic action with human interest. From cute fluffy white seal pups in rarely visited awe-inspiring caves, to dolphins stranded in creeks and much, much, more!

'Super film. I enjoyed it greatly, this is what television used to be about ....thank you for 80 minutes plus of real live meaningful adventure.' Professor David Bellamy PhD LLS OBE
